Launch Tennessee Awards CrossLink Matching SBIR Grant
CrossLink Composites has been awarded a grant from the prestigious Launch Tennessee organization, a public-private partnership providing capital, networking support, investor introductions and other resources to early stage companies based in Tennessee. The CrossLink grant was from LaunchTN’s SBIR/STTR Matching Fund, which in 2022 issued grants to 73 companies raising $169 million in capital. The 11-year-old LaunchTN program aims to make Tennessee the startup-friendliest US state through strategic initiatives to advance the commercialization of technological innovations across the state.

CrossLink Awarded Two Year Development Funding from NSF
Following on its successful phase I project, CrossLink has been awarded a larger two-year phase II grant from the National Science Foundation Small Business Innovation Research Program. This supports commercialization of CrossLink’s proprietary carbon fiber manufacturing technology and advances the development of low-cost carbon fiber required by cleantech industries in multiple sectors of the global economy.
CrossLink Undertakes Project with Deakin University’s Carbon Nexus Facility
CrossLink and its tier one manufacturing customer jointly undertook a 2021-2022 project to scale CrossLink’s proprietary carbon fiber manufacturing process as prelude to commercial-scale production. Deakin’s Carbon Nexus is one of the world’s most advanced carbon fiber and composite research facilities, located in Geelong, Australia.

CrossLink Awarded America's Seed Fund Investment
CrossLink has been awarded a National Science Foundation Small Business Innovation Research funding for its work with carbon fiber. The investment is for Tailored Carbon Fiber Technology for High Volume Industrial Applications, a critical development for cleantech industries.

CrossLink founded by Connie Jackson
Connie has over 25 years of engineering, R&D and management experience in the carbon fiber industry. Most recently, she led construction, startup, commissioning and operations of the Carbon Fiber Technology Facility at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Commercially, she worked for 20 years in engineering, management and executive roles with Teijin, involved in all aspects of the carbon fiber manufacturing, intermediates, pultrusion and composites businesses.
